The information reaching BushFm indicates that the Northern Nigeria Governors may have contracted a British Oil firm for Oil exploration in the region, this is despite the FG's claim of commitment towards the diversification of the Nations economy.

According to a dailypost report, the 19 northern state governments have appointed a British firm to carry out oil exploration activities in the region. Chairman, Northern Nigeria Development Company, owned by the 19 northern state governments, Mallam Bashir Dalhatu, at the weekend, said the company had commenced its prospects for oil and gas in the Lake Chad and Benue basins. He made the disclosure when the company’s board and management visited Kastina State governor, Aminu Masari.
His words: “We have engaged a British company that is already working in the Lake Chad region and from Niger and Chad side in the same area with us and we have been meeting with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation in order to put efforts together. “The Federal Government has also re-emphasised to us, during those meetings, its total support for exploration and exploitation of oil and gas in the North-East of the country.” https://dailypost.ng/2016/08/15/northern-states-engage-british-firm-find-oil/

Economic woes: Hunger is now the National Anthem

Hunger now the National Anthem! *High cost of goods persists *Market women lament low patronage and scarcity of funds *The Naira continues to be worthless
ONITSHA- Nigerians has continued to witness a high cost of goods ranging from cosmetics', provisions, foodstuffs as well as fairly used clothes popularly called Okirika. When BushFm visited a cross section of Nigeria markets, the story was almost the same everywhere. The popular Ose market in Onitsha and Ogbe-Ogonogo market in Asaba was the first point of call. At Ose market in Onitsha, you could notice the displeasure in the eyes of the market men and women as the sit idly waiting for a never-coming customer. While some erroneously believes that the 'bad market' was peculiar only to the markets in the entire zone, as a result of the Federal Governments alleged disdain and skewed economic policy implementation against the zone, others say the Federal Government led by Mr Buhari is just being plain wicked against the masses. Mrs Angela a plastics seller was very emphatic when she said the country is no longer working, and everything is in a standstill now. "if you look around you will see that nothing is working again in this country, and everything is in a standstill now. Things are even getting worst everyday, nobody is coming to buy plastic anymore, instead they rather repair their broken plastic than buy new ones. 'Can you imagine? I have been sitting down here since morning without selling anything, unlike before when I used to make between Six thousand and Eight thousand Naira daily'. My dear... there is hunger in the land, She lamented!"
A plantain seller BushFm later learnt was actually a widow, mistook our reporters as government agents and was almost irate when she was asked to say something about the 'bad market' by our reporters. "God will never forgive you people... All this money you people are putting in everything eh... God will punish you people. Even the kerosene we are using to cook is now very very costly... is it because you people are using Gas?" She queried.
Away from Ose market Onitsha, the situation was even worst in Ogbe-Ogonogo market Asaba. When BushFm visited the now modern market, the market was almost scanty as you could see marketers discussing inside their different Shops instead of selling. A quick survey of the foodstuffs market showed that things were exceedingly very expensive. For instance, Four pieces of small sized Potato cost between One hundred and fifty naira and Two hundred naira depending on who is the seller. Unlike before when it was sold for fifty naira. The same goes for a tuber of Yam which was about a hundred and fifty naira before, now costs between three hundred naira and four hundred naira as the case may be. While a piece of Onion is sold at the rate of twenty naira.
*Naira continues to be worthless: For Mrs Rose the naira is now a worthless currency, since the present government took over power from the Peoples Democratic Party. She lamented that the naira could now hardly buy anything of value in the market other than a bottle of beer! The naira has continued to grow weaker making it difficult to import even fairly used clothes(Okirika). Rose, a graduate of Business Administration from the University of Binin, said she ventured into Okirika business because of the lucrative nature of the business. But now she is planning of abandoning it because the reverse is now the case. According to her, "I am very stranded and frustrated now, I voted for President Buhari thinking that he will be different from others. But it is now very clear that others are even better than him, right now there is no food on the table of the common man, no fuel, no kerosene, no light, and the exchange rate of naira to the dollar keep increasing. Infact there is real hunger in the land, that is the new NATIONAL ANTHEM!

BBOG: Chibok School Girls - More revelation as Parents berates Federal Government

BBOG: Chibok School Girls- More revelation as Parents berates Federal Government! Mr and Mrs Yakubu the parent of Dorcas Yakubu, one of the Chibok school girl recently appeared in Bokoharam video, has insisted that the Federal Government has not done enough to rescue their children. Speaking to Channel Television, Mrs Yakubu insisted that the Army has not rescued even one single soul among the Chibok girls that was kidnapped by Bokoharam. According to her, all the girls that has been so far rescued was as a result of personal efforts by the girls who escaped from Bokoharam den by themselves. Recall that Bokoharam had taken over 200 Chibok school girls from their town in Chibok about two years ago, all efforts by the government to bring them back has proved abortive!

Umueri National Youth Forum (UNYF) - Moment of Potent Decision! Let Who The Cap Fits Wear It!

UMUERI YOUTH ELECTION- A Journey To SEPTEMBER! And a journey was activated in Umueri, call it an adventure or an ULTIMATE search, but all we could see was darkness and gloom. So we felt totally helpless, while running from doom. Then we eventually confronted our inner brick wall in Ikenga, Ezi and Ivite. Our only choice was to break it, and not to give-up and fall. So we thought of a COMRADE! Then our personal interests, quite difficult, sophisticated and conflicting it seemed. But we believed in ourselves, and our goals were clearly outlined. So we settled for an ACTIVIST! Then we began to search for our strengths, while waiting patiently deep inside. So we trusted a COMRADE! Then we realized from different obstacles, there was no reason to hide. So we settled for an ACTIVIST! Then all our challenges we'd embraced and defeated. As we opened our eyes, our true purpose we greeted. Because we met a COMRADE! Then finally we took a step outside our routine political zone, just to carve a path where our goals shall be achieved. We were so confident, un-shaken, un-quivering, and un-broken just because... We met an ACTIVIST! Authors note: Make no mistakes, what we actually need in this forthcoming Youth election, is an ACTIVIST and a COMRADE all embedded in ONE!

Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu is the chosen one - IPOB press release!

August 13, 2016

Press Statement:

INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA AND NIGER DELTA AVENGERS ARE INSEPARABLE IN THEIR QUEST FOR BIAFRA RESTORATION: NO FREEDOM FOR NNAMDI KANU NO PEACE
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) hereby categorically state that we and our brothers the Niger Delta Avengers (N.D.A.) are inseparable in our quest for Biafra restoration. Just as N.D.A. stated in their demands which the Nigerian Government is very much aware of but has chosen to ignore, there will be no negotiation if there is no freedom for the leader of IPOB Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Nigeria will avert imminent doom only if Buhari is compelled by civilized nations to obey existing court orders and release Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally.
Trying the discredited divide and rule tactics of using the media to claim Nnamdi Kanu denied N.D.A. in order to engineer acrimony and hatred between him and N.D.A. has failed woefully. South South and South East are united in this noble quest for freedom and no amount of media manipulation can alter this fact. Only if Buhari knows who Nnamdi Kanu truly is or the amount of influence he commands among the people of South East and South South he won't listen to the lies Lawal Daura of DSS and Ohanaeze Ndigbo have been feeding him.
Although we acknowledge that our lawyers spoke out of turn in a recent press conference, we are also aware that Mr. Rochas Okorocha who parades himself to the contrary as an Igbo man has been working as a front man for Muhammadu Buhari to penetrate and compromise IPOB governing structure and our lawyers. We are aware of the grand conspiracy orchestrated by Rochas Okorocha to penetrate IPOB by all and any means necessary. We know that one of our lawyers has been meeting with Okorocha clandestinely in the past few weeks just like Buhari through Lawal Daura of DSS has been doing through inducements and threats. Some of our lawyers are currently being investigated by the EFCC at the behest of Daura of DSS over a land case settled years ago, in order to unsettle them sufficiently to turn to DSS informants and ultimately undermine the legal defence of our leader as was the case with Vincent Obetta.
In spite of all these shenanigans by Buhari through Daura of DSS and his co-jesters in the media peddling falsehood about negotiations that our leader never consented to, IPOB worldwide is unwavering, determined and resolute under the supreme command of Nnamdi Kanu. No other person dead or alive has the right to command or can command IPOB whether that person is residing in Government house in Owerri or from a private hospital in Nnewi. Only Nnamdi Kanu can tell us in IPOB what to do and we obey. Anybody else attempting to do so will be comprehensively disgraced.
IPOB rank and file is with their leader Nnamdi Kanu and we speak with one voice. Our decision remains that there will be NO negotiations with Nigeria until Buhari obeys court orders for the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu.

We would like to remind everyone that whatever statement or information is provided by IPOB either through our spokespersons or live on Radio Biafra broadcast by our Deputy Director is exactly the mind of our leader Nnamdi Kanu because he trained us to always put the needs of Biafra restoration first and never to retreat nor surrender. From the time of the arrest of our leader till date he has never at any time disputed publicly or in private, through his wife or family members any press statement issued by IPOB official spokespersons.
Furthermore, IPOB is aware that Buhari is planning to kill our leader Nnamdi Kanu and is doing so with active connivance of some Igbo politicians with certain executive members of Ohanaeze Ndigbo. We warn Buhari and his cohorts that the murder of Nnamdi Kanu will spell doom not just for Nigeria but the entire sub-region because the fall out will be too disastrous for a sane mind to contemplate. Anybody from the government of Nigeria or Ohanaeze Ndigbo that thinks that Nnamdi Kanu can be another Ken Saro-Wiwa or M.K.O. Abiola is digging their own grave.
IPOB is a global phenomenon, unprecedented in the history of freedom fighting anywhere on earth. We are all over the world with fanatical following. That IPOB has vowed to maintain a peaceful approach to liberating Biafra from the contraption called Nigeria does not translate to allowing Buhari and his conniving so-called Igbo elites to assassinate Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and go scot-free. That will never happen.
We would like to state that IPOB is aware of the fact that all over the world terms for self-determination is always negotiated. But what we insist on is that for Buhari to start any negotiation with IPOB on a peaceful exit of Biafra from Nigeria he must first obey court orders on the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu. Buhari should also release all Biafrans illegally detained in various prisons in Nigeria.
However IPOB would like to take this opportunity to commend the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) of Nigeria, Hon. Abubakar Malami (SAN) and all those endowed with common sense who have come to understand that all IPOB family members arrested must be released unconditionally because our quest is the restoration of Biafra and not to take over the rulership of Nigeria.
It is instructive to note that the AGF dropped all the charges against IPOB members in Abia State even when Okezie Ikpeazu Abia State governor and other killers of innocent Biafrans in government houses were hell-bent on forging ahead with the ridiculous treasonable felony charges. Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and those like him specifically directed Hausa-Fulani controlled JTF to undertake the indiscriminate slaughter of fellow Biafrans in Aba on more than two occasions. Their judgement is coming and Nigeria they so diligently serve now will abandon them as is happening already with Ikpeazu.
It is a fact that some people within the Judiciary know that there is no evidence of treasonable felony in the case against Nnamdi Kanu which was why a more learned and highly respected judge like Ademola dismissed these charges at the same Federal High Court John Tsoho is now sitting today to make a mockery of himself and justice.
Finally, we want to reiterate that IPOB and N.D.A. share the same ideology and philosophy concerning the liberation of Biafra from Nigeria and this will be the centrepiece of any negotiation that will take place after the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu. We re-emphasize our stance that there is no negotiation going on at this time and that IPOB and N.D.A. are inseparable in their objectives and expected outcomes.
It is either we get Biafra or we die trying to get Biafra. There is no middle ground, there is no compromising this cardinal point. Let it be known to humanity that there will be no negotiation without first effecting the release of Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally.
The restoration of the blessed nation of Biafra is a divine mission from God Almighty of which Nnamdi Kanu is the chosen messenger.
We are unstoppable, unchangeable, irresistible, and irreversible whether Buhari and Lawal Daura like it or not!!!

in his own words

That is good news and spirit of Integrity from PMB
OPENING REMARKS BY PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI AT
 THE PRESIDENTIAL RETREAT WITH HONOURABLE
 MINISTERS-DESIGNATE,STATE HOUSE CONFERENCE HALL,
 NOVEMBER 5, 2015
 PROTOCOLS
It is with great pleasure that I address you today, my
Ministers-designate, at this Retreat in preparation for your
swearing–in as the Cabinet that will run this Administration.
We must count ourselves privileged to have been chosen
among millions of our compatriots at this historic time to be
the instruments that will deliver the change we have
 promised.
 2. Let me congratulate you for your success at the various
levels of screening that culminated in your confirmation by the
 Senate.
I would like to reiterate the point I made at my inauguration
about the uniqueness of this moment for our country and for
us. Shakespeare’s words ring true for us as they did when he
 first wrote them centuries ago.
‘There is a tide in the affairs of men
 Which taken at the flood leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
 Or lose our ventures.’
3. The work of restoration and renewal is urgent and
immense. The expectations of Nigerians are high. Our
determination to succeed and change the fortunes of our
country must be equal to the challenge.
 4. I have invited you to join me in this urgent mission for our
country. I am convinced that in accepting this invitation you
are also equally determined to take part in this patriotic
 undertaking.
 5. This Retreat, therefore, marks your first official contact with
the machinery of Government, of which you will soon be an
integral part. It is important that you are fully acquainted with
the direction and priorities of this Government so that we can
all move together as a team.
 6. My election as President of this country was hinged on my
promise to tackle corruption, insecurity and revive the
 economy.
 7. We have already taken deliberate measures to plug
leakages of government revenue and resources. You all know
the steps we have taken to tackle Boko Haram. We have
degraded them and in desperation, they are resorting to
attacks on soft targets, killing innocent people. Diversification
of the economy away from oil will be a major focus of this
government. We will intervene in mining and agriculture and
upgrade the country’s physical and social infrastructure, which
will broaden our revenue base and significantly improve the
level of employment, especially among the youth. Our
economic focus will be policies that will ensure inclusive
growth and we will count our achievements based on the
number of Nigerians we move out of poverty.
 8. The objective of this retreat is clearly reflected in the choice
of topics which you will be dealing with during the sessions.
The need for observing the rule of law is being emphasized to
ensure that impunity is removed from government conduct.
 9. You are coming on board the ship of governance at an
interesting time. So much has been said about the state of
our economy. It is expected that we make the running of
Government at all levels as lean as possible, avoid waste and
conserve resources. As Ministers, you must be the vehicle that
 will administer the change.
 10. Our main task is to turn our manifesto promises to
practice and results. Over the next two days I expect you to
have a better understanding of the context in which we have
taken the challenge of serving our country, as well as the
strategies we have adopted to tackle them. I would also
expect you to be even more determined to work as a team,
and to live up to the high standards of probity and integrity
 which Nigerians expect of us.
 11. Before I close, let me remind you that clear and effective
communication at all levels is vital in modern management.
You must keep in touch with your fellow ministers and share
information, so that the conduct of government will be more
efficient. In addition, all communication and appointments
from you to the Presidency should be routed through the
Office of the Chief of Staff as is normal in this Presidential
 System.
 I wish you useful deliberations.
 President Muhammadu Buhari
